As the brand continues to grow its involvement in high-end hospitality projects, Once Milano brings its signature linen collections to Villa FO, a unique architectural retreat designed by FONDAMENTA ASSOCIATI.
Set between the mountains and the sea, the villa embodies a deep connection with its natural surroundings — a philosophy that aligns seamlessly with Once Milano’s commitment to natural materials and artisanal craftsmanship. Linen, with its timeless elegance and organic texture, proves once again to be the ideal choice for interiors that are both refined and rooted in nature.
Villa FO is located in Val di Noto, Avola, Sicily, nestled at the top of a hill, with dreamlike views of the sea and the mountains. It unfolds in an irregular shape that bends and adapts to the rocky terrain of this unique agricultural area. Born from the landscape, it responds to it and becomes one with it, creating an intimate yet silent relationship.
The layout is on a single floor, divided into two staggered levels that clearly distinguish the night area from the day area, with walls and floors made of Noto and Modica stone, a native golden-yellow rock used in the reconstruction of the late Baroque cities of eastern Sicily.
For the interior design of the villa, FONDAMENTA ASSOCIATI selected our Once Milano "sequoia" hue, a warm, earthy tone that harmoniously blends with the natural colors of the surrounding landscape.
The carefully curated selection features linen bed sheets, duvets, and velvet blankets in the bedrooms; soft dressing gowns, kimonos, and bath sheets in the bathrooms; and round placemat covers to complete the table setting.
Each piece is handcrafted in Italy using high-quality, natural materials — a celebration of artisanal excellence and sustainable design that reflects the villa’s deep connection to nature.
The use of velvet, in particular, introduces a sense of warmth and softness that contrasts beautifully with the architectural rigor of the villa and the cool texture of the stone surfaces, creating a balanced and tactile atmosphere throughout the space.
